Installed Premier Studio Garden Room With Horizontal Cedar Cladding

The Project

We installed this Premier Studio garden room in Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire for a client wanting a finished space at home.

The room was 5m x 3m and finished in horizontal cedar cladding. The design included side wings, with external lighting fitted to both sides.

This Premier Studio garden room was installed as a 5m x 3m finished space with cedar cladding, aluminium glazing and 17.5 square metres of decking. The completed room gives the client a bright, well-finished garden building with a practical outdoor area.

What We Installed

This was a Premier Studio garden room with aluminium glazing and a decked area outside.

The specification included:

5m x 3m room size
Horizontal cedar cladding
Side wings with external lights to both sides
3m aluminium bi-fold door
2000mm x 600mm aluminium landscape window to the left-hand side
600mm x 2000mm aluminium vertical window with top opener to the right-hand side
Ground screw foundations
EPDM rubber roof
17.5 square metres of decking

The large bi-fold doors open the room out to the garden, while the side windows bring in extra natural light.

Our Studio Model

Inside the Room

Inside, the room was finished with plastered walls and ceilings, internal downlights and an engineered oak floor.

The room also included rigid foam insulation to the walls and ceiling, four twin sockets, and brushed chrome light switches and sockets. All lights and sockets were wired to Part P regulations.

Finished Result

The completed garden room gives the client a bright, usable space away from the main house.

The cedar cladding gives the outside a natural timber finish, while the aluminium glazing keeps the design clean and modern. The decked area creates a practical space outside the room and helps connect it with the garden.
