Garden Room Case Studies
We installed this 5.5m x 4m Premier Diplomat garden room for a customer in Chester, Cheshire.
The room was designed as extra living space away from the main house. The 5.5m x 4m external size gives the customer a good amount of usable space, with a finished interior that can be used for seating, hobbies, work or general family use.
Now the room is complete, the internal finish and flooring help it feel like a proper extra room at home rather than a basic garden outbuilding.
The front and side walls were finished in Teak flat composite cladding, fitted vertically.
The rear wall was specified with metal box profile cladding and A1 fire-rated boards in Albatross 18B17. This gave the customer the required rear elevation while keeping the main visible sides in the Teak finish.
The room also included an EPDM rubber roof, gutter and downpipe.
The front elevation includes 2800mm x 2000mm grey UPVC sliding patio doors, white internally. These are offset to the left-hand side and open from right to left.
A 610mm x 2000mm full-height glazed panel with a half opener was also fitted to the left-hand side, alongside the steel corner post. The decked step with louvres wraps around the front and side, giving the entrance a neat finish.
Inside, the room was finished with plasterboard and skim, painted white, white skirting and Timeless Oak vinyl plank flooring. It also includes internal downlights, four twin sockets and a consumer unit, with lights and sockets wired to Part P regulations.

These visuals help the customer see the proposed layout, glazing, cladding, louvres and overall shape before the room is built.
For this Premier Diplomat, the 3D view showed the sliding doors, side glazing, deck step and rear cladding detail.
