A Custom-Sized Premier Diplomat With Contrasting Cladding

We installed this 7.3m x 4.3m Premier Diplomat garden room in Longworth, near Abingdon in Oxfordshire.

The building has Western Red Cedar cladding on two elevations, with metal box profile cladding on the remaining sides. This gives the room a contrasting exterior finish, combining natural timber with metal cladding.

At 7.3m wide, the building has a substantial frontage, with the doors and glazing positioned towards one end rather than centrally.

Aluminium Bifold Doors With Integral Venetian Blinds

The customer selected 3m wide aluminium bifold doors with integral Venetian blinds, allowing privacy and light levels to be adjusted without separate blinds or curtains.

Alongside the doors is a full-height glazed panel incorporating a half-opening window, also fitted with integral blinds. A steel corner post separates the glazing, while an additional 800mm x 600mm opening window provides ventilation.

The aluminium bifolds and grey uPVC glazing contrast with the cedar exterior, while the uPVC window frames have a white internal finish.

Insulated Construction and Internal Finishes

The Premier Diplomat was specified with SIP construction and 100mm insulation to the walls, floor and roof.

For the interior, the customer selected commercial-grade oak laminate flooring, white skirting and MDF walls and ceiling with a flat, white-painted finish. The electrical specification includes recessed downlights and external up/down lighting.

This installation demonstrates how our Diplomat garden room can be customised with different dimensions, exterior materials and glazing arrangements.
